Donald Steiner, President

Donald Steiner founded Profit Recovery Partners (PRP) in 1997 and serves as President. Since the firm’s inception, Don has managed the growth of PRP and expanded its impressive base of clients to include FORTUNE 1000 clients and an assortment of middle-market companies. He has built the firm on core values that serve the client first and created a culture based on innovation, trust and bottom-line results. Before starting PRP, Don spent more than a decade in the office equipment industry.  Don held sales management and executive positions at FKM Copier Products, where he was instrumental in growing revenues. Earlier, he worked for Canon USA in a variety of sales roles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Marty Bozarth, Chief Operating Officer

Marty Bozarth joined PRP in September 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for all phases of the firm’s client service delivery. Previously, Marty was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Baird & Warner Holding Company, a Chicago real estate firm. Before that, he served as CFO of a number of middle-market firms. Earlier, Marty spent seven years at GE Capital and five years at Ernst & Young. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jeremy Linehan, Vice President, Solutions Management

Jeremy Linehan joined PRP in May 2001 and serves as Vice President of Solutions Management. He is responsible for the management and enhancement of client services programs. He has served in numerous positions at PRP, including Project Manager and Supervisor. PRP selected him to lead the firm’s largest department in 2008. During his tenure at PRP, he has been responsible for the creation of renewable client value programs, management of leveraged client spend and client savings reporting. Before PRP, Jeremy held sales and marketing positions in the building and construction industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

Val Lyon, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Val Lyon oversees PRP’s finance operations, including financial planning and analysis, controllership, tax, employee benefits and risk management. He has held this position since joining the company in August 2010. Val has a broad breadth of financial management experience, previously serving as a CFO for both publically traded and privately held companies in the banking, insurance and home-building industries. He started his career with Deloitte & Touche LLPand he is an actively licensed CPA and Professional Fiduciary. Val holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Teresa Madden, Vice President

Teresa Madden joined PRP in 1998 as Vice President. As an early PRP employee, Teresa helped lay the foundation for our best-in-class processes and methodologies and helped expand our industry expertise to unmatched levels.  Teresa’s experience in corporate procurement combined with our industry expertise creates a winning combination. She is currently responsible for supporting PRP's industry experts and the initial client engagement process. Earlier in her career, Teresa, worked at Emulex Corp. for 10 years in a variety of facilities and purchasing positions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

Brett Rodewald, Executive Vice President

Brett Rodewald joined PRP’s executive team as Executive Vice President in 2011 with a strong reputation for fostering the execution of successful growth strategies through the implementation of technology, sales and operational processes as well as financial discipline. He is responsible for leading PRP’s eight areas of industry expertise and helping PRP achieve its goals of 30 percent annual growth over the next several years and $45 million in revenue by 2014. Prior to PRP, Brett served as President of Comdata Corp., one of the nation’s largest providers of electronic payment solutions. Before Comdata, Brett held executive and senior management roles with Bank of America (Card Services Division), First Union National Bank, Carter, Hawley Hale Stores and America West Airlines. He blends business with philanthropy by serving as the 2011 Campaign Chair for the Williamson County (Tennessee) United Way Board of Directors. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University and completed course work within the Stanford University Executive Program. 

Rod Swartwood, Director of Human Resources

Rod Swartwood joined PRP in November 2008 as the Director of Human Resources. He is responsible for the company’s human capital strategy and management. Before PRP, Rod served as the Head of Talent Management at First American Corp. Earlier, he worked in a variety of HR and talent-management leadership roles for companies, such as Avexus, ProFlowers and Upper Deck. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational psychology from San Diego State University, a master’s degree from Murdoch University of Western Australia and an MBA from California State University, San Marcos.

John Wolff, Chief Information Officer

John Wolff joined PRP in 1998 and serves as Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s information system technology. John has served as the Vice President of the Solutions Management division for eight years. Prior to PRP, he was the Management Information System Director for an office equipment dealer and the Application-Software Development Manager for a business computer integrator. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and computer engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
